Summer 2017 Evening Class Schedule:
Beginners Sugar Flowers - Wednesday 9 August Fully booked This class is the perfect introduction to the basic skills required for making sugar flowers. We will use both sugarpaste and flowerpaste to demonstrate the varied results and also techniques when using different mediums. Beginning with a sugarpaste rose we will then move on to make wired sweet peas and carnations.
Lisianthus Spray - Thursday 24 August Also known as Eustoma these beautiful trailing flowers have become increasingly popular in wedding bouquets and cake designs as they come in a huge range of colours and forms. This class is suitable for those with good basic flower-making skills.
Introduction to Modelling Figures - Thursday 7 September Fully booked This class is suitable for absolute beginners as well as those wishing to improve their modelling skills. We will use strengthened sugarpaste to model a detailed figure with emphasis on how to create effective and expressive facial detail.
Vintage Roses - Wednesday 27 September Roses are hugely popular in cake decorating and small roses can easily be made with basic cutters and moulds. Large feature roses however require quite different techniques to create and hold the desired shape. During this class we use premium flower paste to make beautiful vintage roses which will be perfect for wedding cakes or special celebration cakes. This class is suitable for those with good basic flower-making skills.
All of our sugarcraft evening classes are held in our shop from 7-9 pm. We provide all of the materials and equipment that you will need. The cost per class is £45 with a £25 deposit required to secure each place. Once you have attended one of our classes you will receive a 10% discount on any further classes you attend.
